  13.     This is also being posted to several other groups 
  14. including comp.sys.amiga.advocacy, comp.sys.amiga.misc, 
  15. comp.sys.amiga.games, alt.sources.amiga, comp.sys.amiga.marketplace, 
  16. comp.sys.amiga.applications, comp.sys.amiga.hardware and several other 
  17. newsgroups.

  19.     I just wanted to warn you when dealing with Better Concepts in 
  20. New York. They're an Amiga dealer and usually span a 2 page ad in Amiga 
  21. Computing magazine each month.

  23.     DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

  25.     Why?

  27.     Quite simply, it's been over 40 days now and they have yet to 
  28. send me a working computer that I had ordered. 
  29.  
  30.     Here's my continuing saga...
  31.  
  32.     I ordered an A1200 with an accelerator from them (the person who 
  33. helped me was Craig) in December. They said they have the computer out 
  34. within a week. I ddn't get it until January 16th or sometime around then.
  35.  
  36.     When I received my computer, it did not have OS3.1 that I had 
  37. ordered. Who packs equipment and doesn't check to make sure everything 
  38. you ordered is in there?
  39.  
  40.     So, I called them back up, I was moving so Craig couldn't send 
  41. UPS to my place to pick up the package, I had to pay for shipping. He 
  42. said they'd reimburse me. Fine. 
  43.  
  44.     I sent the package off, they got it, put in the 3.1 ROMS and 
  45. installed OS3.1. Then they sent it out. Craig said it was shipped out on 
  46. a Thursday. The following Wednesday came and still nothing from UPS. I 
  47. called and talked to a Peter. He gave me the tracking number, said he 
  48. called UPS and UPS said it was en route. Now, I know he didn't call UPS 
  49. because I called UPS as soon as I got the tracking number and they said 
  50. there wasn't even an origin scan on my computer. So, how could it be in 
  51. transit?

  53.      They finally got my computer out February 2nd (a week later) and I got 
  54. it on the 6th. Now, I open the package -- there's no OS3.1 disks (when 
  55. you order an OS you should get the disks, right?!) like I had ordered, 
  56. there's no reimbursement check, and sure enough now the entire keyboard 
  57. is broken and does not work!

  59.     I'm am going to post this message quite frequently to remind you 
  60. Amiga Users who not to deal with until they finally get their act 
  61. together and get me the computer I should have had over 2 months ago now.

  63.     They also do not return phone calls so don't expect that either 
  64. (nor email messages). I talked to a John during the supposed first 
  65. shipment and he was supposed to get back to me several times -- never 
  66. did.

  68.     The last time I also talked to a Peter and he has yet to return my 
  69. calls when I've left messages for him asking to call me back since he 
  70. wasn't around. They have yet to do so.
  71.  
  72.     In the meantime, do not order from them. As of this posting, they have 
  73. yet to do for me what they say they're going to do. I don't know what 
  74. kind of business they run, but obviously this isn't first class. :P

  76.     I'm still waiting for UPS to come and pick up my computer to take 
  77. back to them. GRanted, I may be over reacting, but in my book it 
  78. shouldn't take this long to get an order straight, especailly after two 
  79. tries already. :P
